Colour code

The birds of this project have 1 color ring with a single character on each upper leg.

The color code consists of 4 consecutive elements:

1. The letter indicating the colour of the engraved ring on the left leg (1 letter)
2. The inscription on the engraved ring on the left leg (1 letter or digit)
3. The letter indicating the colour of the engraved ring on the right leg (1 letter)
4. The inscription on the engraved ring on the right leg (1 letter or digit)

Example R5Y4. This bird has a red color ring with a 5 on the left leg and a yellow ring with a 4 on the right leg.
