Colour code

The birds of this project have a colour ring with a 3 character inscription on one upper leg and may have a coloured flag without inscription on the other upper leg.

The color code consists of the descriptions of the colour ring. If the bird has a flag the colour code and the flag code are separated by a slash ("/"):

colour ring (3 elements)

1. The letter indicating the colour of the ring (1 letter)
2. a hyphen ("-")
3. the inscription (always 3 characters)

flag (2 letters)

1. The letter of the colour
2. The letter f to indicate a flag

Example W-A10/Gf. This bird has a white ring with inscription A10 on the left upper leg and a green flag without inscription on the right upper leg.
