Early 2017 VRS De Haar, VRS Het Gooi and VRS Nebularia started in the Groene Hart area in the Netherlands with a RAS-project for survival research for Common Kestrels. As well nestlings as adult Common Kestrels are being ringed with a lime (light-green) colour ring with three black characters on the left tarsus. The used characters are: A, C, E, H, J, K, L, N, P, S, T, U, X, Y, Z, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. The ring is read from bottom to top.
