From 2020, five species of pioneer coastal breeding birds receive color rings in the Delta, IJsselmeer area and Wadden Sea to better visualize the movements and to determine survival. It concerns the following species: Avocet, Kentish plover, Ringed plover, Common tern and Little tern. Both adults and large young are ringed.

For the Little Tern we collaborate in an international project that involves ringing in several countries in Europe and Africa.
